A stately sequoia welcomes its guests in the park-like garden. On a gallery in the green environment table and chairs are ready. Hidden behind tall conifers is a pavilion with historic chairs and a charcoal grill. Following a meadow with beach chairs and beach chairs in front of the river the "Schrote".

In 2009, the reconstructed and restored airplane "Libelle" was launched here, with which the Magdeburg aviation pioneer Hans Grade won the "Lanzpreis der Lüfte" in 1909, for the permanent exhibition in the Technikmuseum.

Leisure time

Along the "Schrote" you reach the newly built cycle path directly to the Magdeburg Zoo, which has become very attractive in recent years. The bathing beach of the "Neustädter See" is reached on the same path.
In the trading port (about 1.5 km east) historical ships can be visited.
By car or bicycle, the city center with all its attractions can be reached quickly. Two tram lines take you to all other parts of the city.

To be recommended restaurants as well as food centers are sufficiently close to the "Water art".
